The regional newspaper La Liberté du Morbihan for November 23, 1954, reported that several people from Méaugeon and Saint-Brieuc had seen "an unusual phenomenon last night. It was a luminous disc that gradually turned red and white. The craft, which was descending and ascending in the sky, split into two incandescent bodies."
