In the 2010's, a German web database of UFO sighting reports told that on October 10, 1954, Mercurey, there was an observation of the "nocturnal lights" type.

It is perhaps a date error, for the case of Mercurey at the beginning of October 1954, published in the Press on October 7, 1954. But it is not certain since "UFO Datenbank" speaks of nocturnal light while this other case was by day.
I have in any case found no other information, and these are totally insufficient.
