In the 2000s, a U.S. database of UFO sightings cases noted that on June 10, 1954, at 10:20 p.m., in Avignon, in the Vaucluse, France, an unidentified object was sighted, but with an appearance and behavior that would most likely have a conventional explanation.
The source was given as the computerized catalog of Jacques Vallée.
A few years later, a German ufology Web database noted the case, without source, and removing any mention of the very probable conventional explanation.
