Subject: UFO sighting I made an observation recently. I forward it to you as attachment according to your recommendations. Thank you to let me know what you think about it. [Firstname] [NAME] |
Observation of a UFO on December 26, 2006 in Montpellier (34 – France) On Tuesday, December 26, 2006, at approximately 05:45 p.m., at nightfall, I went with my 8 years old son ½ to the Comedies square (a large square in the town of Montpellier). In this festive period, and an that hour, there were many people, and the square was occupied by a Christmas market. I thus went in direction of this market, looking at the illuminations... when my attention was caught by something in the sky. I specify that, that day, the weather was very nice. Not one cloud in the sky and no wind. At that hour, the sky was already well obscured, but not black yet, rather of a dark, but sufficiently luminous blue so that an object of black color can be distinguished easily. I thus saw an object which rose in the sky approximately vertically. With this festive environment, I thought of a kite, a bird... Puzzled by this observation, I stopped walking, and I tried to determine what it could be. Without emitting a sound audible to me, this object rose gently. At a certain altitude that I would not estimate very high (a few hundreds of meters from the ground), it stopped moving. I asked my son what he saw. He was seeing the same thing as I: an object of a rather triangular shape, presenting contours resembling a bird (a little like an eagle). That is what has me thinking of a kite. We looked well around us to see whether it came from the ground, if there were a particular demonstration likely to cause this phenomenon. But there was nothing of that at all. I even thought that the passers-by were going to find it odd that somebody looks at the sky like that. But, around me, people were passing by quickly, and everyone went to their business without taking natoce of me. We observed the object better. On each one of its two main sides, there was a fixed red light (none was flashing), of rather of low intensity, but sufficiently visible to us. Oddly enough, this object, although stationary in the sky (after having risen) was taking different angles, which makes me say that it appeared very thin to me. In fact, I had the feeling that it was in observation. I moved a little, seeking a rational cause with this phenomenon, while furtively looking at the sky to make sure that it was still there, when, by looking up, I saw it leaving towards the west at a very large speed, a little like the speed of a flash. This observation lasted for sure 5 minutes. Since then I seek a rational explanation. I even returned to the same place the next day and at the same hour to try to understand, but I remain today with the same interrogation. I looked at the newspapers the next days, but I did not find anything in the "local events" section. I thus searched on the ufology webiste for possibly corroborating witnesses. I share this experience with you today. Here is the figure. But I specify that the triangle that it formed to my eyes was certainly not so angular. I chose a very diagrammatic drawing not having sufficient precise elements to represent it. By looking at several photographic documents, I think, that in the extreme cases, it could have been a circle. Indeed, seen under a certain angle, a circle (of saucer type) surmounted of a kind of sphere, could, depending to its angular slope, and with the play of the shades, make think of a geometrical form of the triangle type. Thank you to let me know what you think. |
