Subject: UFO sighting Good evening Patrick, I observed what I think was a nocturnal light, in the night from June 21st to June 22nd, 2006. From midnight to five past midnight. I live in Sireuil, in the Dordogne, at the top of a hill whete there is [geographic detail]. The site is completely clear and without parasitic lights. For several years, I have spent a few hours regularly to look at the night sky. At the time of my first observations I often mistook planes lights for UFO phenomena, especially when the plane just started to be visible. The distance of the aircraft added to its displacement and the flickering of the lights are often misleading, until the aircraft approaches the zenith and the engines noises are heard. I am now able to distinguish them correctly, but it still happens that these lights surprise me. Those are besides until June 22 the only phenomena which I could notice, except for shooting stars, and one or two brief phenomena and at very high altitude which go back to several years and I do not remember any more very well. Having recently bought a miniDV video camera, I - in the night from June 21 to 22, at approximately 11 p.m. - brought it with me, in order to make some tests, I filmed some plane, taking into account their too weak luminosity, I went to put the camera back and I resumed my observations. Then at midnight, I noticed a white and continuous light, that crossed the sky at a rather reduced speed. Its size was much more important than the lights of a plane, and if it had been a plane, it would then have been a completely silent plane and flying at low altitude. Seen from my location, the object must have been 3 millimeters in diameter. It moved in straight line, following a Western --> Eastern direction (I can try to be a little more precise if you wish: chart + photo of the sky (by day) with indication of the zone where the observation took place). I went to get the camera (which took me 1 to 2 minutes, at most), and I filmed the object until its sudden disappearance. Once the camera off, I realized that in the rush I had forgotten to remove the lens cover... Then, I made some research on the various types of observation, and it seemed to to me that it corresponded to a nocturnal light. Since, I had forgotten the date of it and I had not viewed the recording, which I just did and this allowed me to find the date and the hour and to confirm that the lens cover was quite present. Thinking that somebody perhaps made the same observation - I found your website web with google - but apparently there is none on this date. Having the precise time, as well as a good memory of the direction, aspect and area of the observation, I share it with you. Can you, if you know other websites which record UFO sightings, send me their Internet addresses. Best regards, [Firstname] [Name] |
