Subject: Simple observation Dear Sir, I acknowledge that I found your website by chance by looking images of planes! That recalled me that, very recently, we observed (my wife and I) a small phenomenon - perhaps just the reflection of 2 very close satellites?! Around July 20, 2007, I was taking some air on my terrace. My looks are first attracted by the reflection of a satellite as it frequently happens... A few minutes later... my looks are again attracted by 2 luminous dots: Description : The 1st luminous point corresponds (totally) to a satellite (Luminous intensity, trajectory, speed, ect...... It is the second luminous dot that puzzles me more. The latter was of less luminous intensity, seemed to follow the first at the same speed, but shifted to its left (of the first) and with a regular zigzag. At the scale of the observation, one can estimate a distance ground / sattelite or ground / airliner?! One can also deduce from it a sizeable distance between these 2 luminous points (approximately a few tens or hundreds of meters?!). In short, for the fast parabola: that could make think of an object which drags out a second one at the end of a rope (hence the movement of zigzag of the second one!) To note: The intensity of the respective luminous points which did not move from the beginning to the end of the observation, as that can be the case according to angles of reflections of the sun.
