Hello,

It is a long time already that I visit your website, which I find really very complete and well done.

I observed a UFO a very a long time ago, at the end of the Eighties. It was between 1987 and 1990, I was in the College of Saint-Amand Montrond (18200) in the Cher [department]. My father working in this city, took me along every morning in his car, dropped me at the College, and brought me back in the evening. We lived 42 km from there in a village called Préveranges (18370), in the heart of the bas-Berry.

That morning, I remember that it was the winter, we had left the house towards 7:30 and were at the level of a small community called Sidiailles, within 8km from our premises. This small communinty comprises an artificial lake created at the end of the Seventies to prevent that a water shortage as that of 1976 happens in the area. Coming from our village, when we arrive close to this lake, it is from the top of the hill, and we go down towards the lake on a road with curves... Whereas we descend this slope, I remember to have stared at a very luminous orange point behind the branches of a tree, thinking that it was the sun. I was not very awaken in fact, because I suddenly became aware that it was a dark night, and that if the sun had been as high in the sky as the light I was observing, it would have been daylight. When this thought came to my mind, the orange point, of the apparent diameter of a ping-pong ball at a probable distance of 200 or 300 meters, suddenly went off as if a lamp were turned off, but after having carried out a short zigzag, like a half-turn. I specify that before this sudden disappearance, the light appeared motionless in the air, behind the branches of a tree. I then looked at my father, asked him whether he had seen what I had seen, and it answered yes, obviously disconcerted.

I acknowledge to have spent the rest of the day wondering whether I should go to see the gendarmes to gibe a statement to them, but I quickly gave up, telling me that I was going to look like a fool. I was going to have the proof of the contrary in the evening of the next day.

The next day, while returning from the school with my father, we go down from the car and return to the house where my mother awaits us. She welcomes us and shows the local newspaper of the morning (La Nouvelle République if I remember well). Between her hands, a precise page and a not very usual article. It reported a UFO sighting carried out the day before in Sidiailles by a resident who, answering nature's call; had gone outside in his garden to satisfy this need. He had then seen a large orange ball in the direction of the lake and, very surprised, had gone to get his binoculars. He had then been able to observe small oranges balls entering and outgoing the large one, carrying out small "turns" around the large ball. Then the large ball had suddenly disappeared after having gone in zigzag. All that the same day and at the same jour than our own observation, about which we never spoke to anybody.

While reading this article, I had the certainty that we had really oberved an UFO in the ufological meaning of the word. I was young, and it is true that I did not keep this article, besides, I really wonder why. In fact, I cannot at all remember a precise date, except that it was in the winter, between 1987 and 1990. I would lean for the winter 1988 or 1989, but without certainty.

That's it, it has been a long time I wanted to tell this experience, and I hope I have been sufficiently precise and not too boring to read ;)

Thank you for your website which really deserves to be known.
