Hello We saw a "UFO" around 05:50 p.m. today on August 15, 2017, with my husband. We live in a fishing village called Barrinha de Baixo, in the state of Ceara, in the North East of Brazil. Our village is not far from a tourist village called Jericoacoara. It was a "thing" in a luminous cylindrical shape. At first we thought it was a huge shooting star with a trail that passed over our house, but it was too big, too slow and too low. And besides, the sky was not black yet. After a few seconds it changed trajectory, perpendicularly, to a hallucinating speed and it stopped suddenly for at least 15 minutes quite far in the sky. A stationary luminous line could be seen in an oblique position. Then it's gone. This thing did not emit any sound. In the sky, I would have said it was about 20m if I compare to the length of our pool. But I'm not sure because everything high seems small. That's it! Taking a picture would have given nothing I think because once parked its color was bright but quite pale in the sky. In addition, we did not want to lose sight of it if it would come back in our direction. But that was not the case.
