Subject: Observation very high speed light Hello, In the evening of July 14 towards 11:30 p.m., my wife and my two daughters we returned from the fireworks of Metz when, arrived the entry of the village of GONDREVILLE (D3), whereas we looked the various fireworks still in activity in the distance, we saw a light, rather white, twinkling and quite vivid at a height of some hundreds of meters on our left. While we ruled on its origin, because there is the presence of the transmitter of Luttange, this light set in motion at a very high speed to follow a rectilinear trajectory parallel of 50 meters to the road. I made an emergency braking on the side of the road to get out and better observe this phenomenon. In 2 or 3 second, it had crossed an approximate distance of 30 km in a quite right line without noises until it disappeared behind the hills of the Moselle at the level of Metz. I am accustomed to observe the military planes for we have the base of Frescaty and the airport of Louvigny in proximity, but what I saw this evening there, exceeds by far all the speed which I already could observe when these Sirs of the armies have fun playing war above our home. I do not claim that they are inevitably little green men in excess speed, but no matter what that can be, it had us jittering like hell because many month have passed and we still tell ourselves the display at supper time.
