Mum, Come Quick!
There's A Flying
Saucer!

MYSTERY OF THF FLASHING LIGHTS

The residents of Leicester Road, Dinnington, are still talking about what they believe to have been a flying saucer seen going over their rooftops last week.

Thirty-five-year-old Mrs. Carl Kalas told the "Worksop Guardian": " My little girl ran into the house and told me there was a flying saucer. I told her not to be silly, but when she took me outside a short time afterward I saw it for myself.

"It was a large round obiect with red flashing lights underneath it. It travelled from one side of the sky to the other, and must have stayed in the area for about [?] hours."

The Kallas family were not the only ones to see the object. Mrs. Vera Perry, aged 41, of 61 Leicester Road, said: "My little 10-year-old daughter, Brenda, came in and told me there was a flying saucer. She said it had red and green flashing lights underneath It."

A trainee wire drawer, 16-year old Frank Bird, also of Leicester Road, was with a group of friends when he heard the children in the street shouting. Said Frank: "When I went to see what was wrong, I saw the object moving spirally through the sky. It was larger than a helicopter and it wasn't a plane.

There were red lights flashing as it went. A friend of mine said he saw some windows in the side of it. It stayed around for a long time, and eventually disappeared in the clouds over Maltby."

A local police spokesman said that he had received no reports of such phenomena.

Men from Mars haven't landed yet, but, until they do, the mystery of two flashing lights remains unsolved.
