The article below was published in the daily newspaper Sud-Ouest, France, on January 7, 1978.
A new testimony has just reached us, this time coming from a Gironde village, Hure, near La Réole. Mr. Robert Tastet, municipal councilor, saw, on January 1, at 5:15 p.m., appear "without making the slightest noise, a very luminous object, orange-red, cylindrical in shape; quite similar to a pen held at the end of the arm. This object was moving towards the Landes."
And Mr. Robert Tastet added in the communication he made to Mr. Louis Lacoste, amateur ufologist and president of the Gironde Ufology Club: "I am certain, what I saw had no nothing comparable to an airplane or a helicopter. Without a doubt, it was an unknown craft."
