The article below was published in the daily newspaper Sud Ouest, France, on April 12, 1979.
On Saturday morning, around 6:15 a.m., a 31-year-old French insurance agent, Mr. Pierre Besson, residing at 22, rue des Ecoles, was driving in the company of his wife in the vicinity of Semussac.
Arriving at the locality calls the wood of la Chasse, the motorist saw in the sky an object of rounded shape with fluorescent light illuminating the craft. He could observe the phenomenon for about fifteen minutes.
Mr. Besson thought that other people had also seen the luminous object and that he would find an echo in our newspaper. Surprised to see nothing, it was not until Tuesday that he shared his observations with the authorities.
