The article below was published in the daily newspaper Le Midi Libre, France, on May 25, 1976.
Four luminous objects of an incandescent white were observed in the sky north of the city of Nîmes on Saturday May 22, from 0:30 a.m. to 2:00 a.m., while an intense red then white glow was reported in a ravive at confines of the Terres de Rouvière path. All persons who have witnessed these phenomena are asked to contact the VERONICA Group ("Verification and Study of UFO Reports for Nîmes and the Surrounding Region"), 3, rue Folco Baroncelli, 30000 Nîmes, phone 67-03-37.
Note: the "Veronica" investigation subsequently identified the glow of the chemin des Terres de Rouvière as that of an automobile, and the lights in the sky as a constellation of stars.
