Perhaps allured by the charm of the Rouergue a "U.F.O" flew over Salles-la-Source!

Rodez. -- The question is raised since Sunday evening: what happened around 7 p.m. in the sky of Salles-la-Source?

Four people, whose testimonys are absolutely concordant, claim to have seen an object of oval shape flying over the Vallon, shining per moment, and moving in the sky, without noise. No possible confusion with a plane which is not a silent space vehicle, nor with a weather balloon, which remains at high altitude [not always!].

Indeed, the mysterious object was within less than thousand meters above ground-level and its speed appeared extremely slow. Of gray color, being perfectly detached in the light from the sky, the "U.F.O." remained visible a long moment before disappearing at the horizon. It is impossible to question the assertions of the witnesses, since all the four could not be victims of an hallucination at the same time and at the same place.

One of them only regrets not having been able to take photographs at this time on the spot. But one doesn't always expect this kind of phenomena.

What to deduce from such facts?

The skeptics will keep their reserve, but their attitude does not bring a satisfactory answer. The scientists will certainly regret the absence of any indisputable material element, but they cannot purely and simply ignore the fact. There is no reason to dismiss the assumption of a visit to our planet by "strange strangers" [sic] allured by the charm of this corner of Rouergue.
