Bochum. -- "Flying saucers come from other planets and are built by beings who occupy a higher mental and technical level than that of humans," stated Dr. Meyer Kords, president of the Astronautics society, during a conference in Bochum. "The observations and experiments currently being conducted by scientists," he added, "will soon be advanced enough to allow precise explanations."
For his part, Professor Hermann Obert [sic, Oberth], one of the founders of modern rocket technology, who attended the conference, expressed a similar opinion:
- Flying saucers are not illusions of the senses, but must be considered as spacecraft..."
