UFOs expected in Belgium

BRUSSELS. -- Flying objects larger than planes, armed with searchlights that cast a harsh white light, have been approaching the ground almost every day in recent weeks in the Verviers region (eastern Belgium), according to the Belgian Society for the Observation of Space Phenomena (SOBEPS).

Before the astonished eyes of spectators, including many police officers, who reported their observations to SOBEPS, these unidentified flying objects (UFOs) remained stationary in the air sometimes for five or ten minutes, sometimes even longer, before speeding away.

SOBEPS President Lucien Clerebaut said that some of these craft were equipped with rotating lights. They fly in formation. Six witnesses saw five in a squadron. But no testimony reported the appearance of humanoids or other extraterrestrial occupants.
