UFOs in the daily Press:

Mysterious deaths of ponies, U-K., 1977:

This article was published in the daily newspaper Le Provençal, France, page 20, on July 16, 1977.

Only the ponies saw the UFO

The mysterious death of fifteen ponies in Cornwall, in the South-east of England, could be blamed on UFOs, estimated Friday the president of a British club specialized in the study of the unidentified flying objects. The bodies of the animals were discovered lying the ones close to the others, in a small valley of the moors of Cornwall. They had broken bones and ribs and one of them had the neck broken. Moreover the flesh had rotted faster than normal, leaving only the skeletons. The president of the club, who investigates in the area, thinks that the ponies were crushed by the antigravity field of a flying saucer. Similar cases, related to the passing of UFOs, are said to have been reported in the United States. Armed with Geiger counters, metal detectors and the face covered of a mask, the president and three assistants search the countryside to find the possible extraterrestrials, without success up to now.
