BORDEAUX. -- A UFO was observed the other evening in the sky over Talence, in the Bordeaux suburbs. Mrs. Segonnes, living on the fifth floor of a residence, saw, as did her daughter, "something brilliant which was descending, looked like a star but brighter, and which sometimes became oval."
The police, informed, sent three men to the site who were also able to observe the phenomenon for about half an hour. The object, which was moving slowly, disappeared in the direction of Arcachon Bay.
The control tower at Bordeaux-Mérignac airport, however, did not observe anything and the pilots did not report anything abnormal.
