Mr. Robert Galley, Minister of the Armed Forces, questioned on the problem of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) at "France-Inter" [national radio station], declared in particular:
"It is certain that there is something that we do not understand and that is currently unexplained."
In 1954, he recalled, a testimony commission was created at the Ministry of the Armed Forces.
"To conclude, said Mr. Galley, when it comes to UFOs, we must adopt an extremely open attitude of mind, not questioning people's good faith. It is extremely premature to draw conclusions."
