NEVERS. -- A luminous phenomenon was observed the other morning, for an hour, by several residents of Decize (Nièvre). This is how Mr. Cahour, an engineer, saw around 6 a.m., at high altitude, an object of oblong shape and giving off a bright glow, which was moving in the sky in the east-southeast direction.
Mr. Cahour said that the object looked like a cigar rotating on itself and sometimes placing itself in a horizontal position, sometimes in a vertical position.
A similar phenomenon had already been observed in Decize, in November 1968.
