Our correspondent in Bergues writes to us:
"At least that is what we were told, Thursday, not by a prankster or a joker, but a faithful reader of "Le Nouveau Nord." This witness who asked us not to advertise his name, simply wants to reassure the author of the lines published, on the first page, Wednesday evening and convince him by the account that follows that Dunkirk cannot have experienced a cruel disappointment in the fact that the flying saucer that some claim to have seen, was not one, but let's turn it over to our correspondant:
"Last week, I was standing on my doorstep looking at the state of the sky and the direction of the wind. It might have been 9:45 p.m. Suddenly, my attention was drawn to a light that moved, I concluded that it was a shooting star and I was preparing to return to my apartment when this glow appeared once again, it seemed to come from an object having the shape of a long tube surmounted by a kind of blue halo. This tube which came from the direction of the south, advanced noiselessly and stood at an altitude of 5 to 600 meters heading towards the North-West, I could follow it until it was above the Bergues station."

Our correspondent asked the witness the following questions:
From the story you have just told us, it appears that, according to you, the apparatus seen above the railway, could only be a flying saucer?
"I have that clear impression", our interlocutor replied.
"- Don't you think you were the victime of an optical illusion?
