Flying saucers in the British sky
LONDON (A.F.P.). -- Three cases of "flying saucers" were announced in Great Britain.
- Wednesday in Clifton, close to Nottingham, a hundred witnesses claimed to have seen a silver plated disc, of ten meters in diameter, landing. The police estimates that it was an optical illusion.
- Several tens of people phoned the police after having seen, between Brockenhurst and Highcliffe (Hampshire), a white ball of fire fall down on the ground. The research undertaken in the evening of Wednesday remained without result.
- In the night of Wednesday to Thursday, according to the B.B.C., four people at least, including two police officers in patrol, saw an "unidentified flying object" emitting an orange gleam in the sky of Southampton.
