A flying saucer was seen yesterday in Mus (the Gard), around 6 p.m., coming from the south-east and moving towards the south-east at a great pace. The apparatus appeared as a very luminous round form. On its course, one heard a whistling sound.
Note: This was in 1947. It must be noted that nobody at that time was concerned with ufology, i.e. trying to identify what was reported and that this could have been a plane or a meteor.
