MYSTERIEUX LUMINOUS CRAFT IN THE SKY OF THE ILE-DE-FRANCE

MELUN (AFP). -- Testimonys flow about the mysterious craft that was seen Sunday in the sky of the Paris area. During three quarters of an hour, the "object" moved above Villeneuve-le-Roi, Saint-Denis and Melun, where many people managed to contemplate it. The description of the craft remains vague: for some, it had the shape of a metallized cigar, for others that of a balloon cut in two. But the number of concordant testimonys does not make it possible to conclude to a collective hallucination.

It is in Villeneuve-le-roi, at a few kilometers of the airport of Orly, that the mysterious object was seen for the first time, around 11, by the consumers and the busboy of the Magne coffee, on the place of the Market, as by the people who were there. After having hovered ten minutes above the square, it left towards the East. At the Orly airport, nothing abnormal was detected, which seems to dismiss the assumption of a sounding-balloon which would have been located by the radars.

Around 11:30, the flying object was aperû above Saint-Denis, moving slowly in the sky. Between 11:30 and midday, dozens of people managed to contemplate, at very high altitude, a white and luminous dot. A certain number of Melun residents followed the spot with binoculars.
