LA ROCHELLE. -- Whereas they were driving by car Saturday, between Saujon and Marennes (the Charente-Maritime), two motorists, Misters Christian Armant, company chairman in Rochefort-sur-Mer (Ch.-Maritime) and Jean Driancourt, contractor in Surgères (Ch.-Maritime) are said to have seen a flying saucer.
The apparatus, of spherical shape, and of an extremely shining white, came from the north and moved in their direction. The object let appear a turbulence on its higher part and a purplished trail, without emitting the least noise, however.
The two motorists stopped and the object did the same. Its luminosity was then unbearable. Then, it set out again in direction of the North-West at a very high speed and disappeared.
