Trace suspected to have been caused by a UFO, France, 1994:

This article was published in the daily newspaper La Dépêche du Midi, France, on October 5, 1994.

ETRANGE PHENOMENE A NARBONNE

A mysterious trace

"I first of all believed that it was mushrooms. And then, while looking at it more closely, the perfect symmetrical form puzzled me": Jean-Michel Egretier, head of a company in Narbonne, discovered, Sunday morning, the odd traces on the grass of his garden. He did not hesitate to alert the gendarmes.

"The trace is a 4.80 m length oval form, 0.80 m broad and with, at each end, has a cut of 1.70 m; the whole of bluish color." The commander of the gendarmerie squad of Gruissan gives some details of the readings he performed, yesterday morning, on the property of Jean-Michel Egretier. "The grass is quite impregnated, as if it were dry ice. At the beginning, the grass was of yellowish color, but it started to turn blue", specifies the gendarme who, with his men, took samples of grass.

An investigation is opened and the file was entrusted to the CERPA [Sic, SEPRA], an official organization charged to study all the phenomena of unidentified flying objects.

[Photograph caption:] After the sampling performed by the gendarmes, the strange oval form, of blue color, is protected by a plastic cover, while waiting for the arrival of the specialists who will try to explain this very strange phenomenon.
