This object above the skyline and shown in the insert is, according to Guy B. Marquand Jr., a flying saucer. Marquand maintains he and two friends saw the object while on a mountain road near Riverside, California. He said the "thing" flew by once and on its second pass he made this photograph. -- (Acme Telephoto).
Note: later, Guy Marquand admitted the photograph is a hoax, he used a hub cap.
