Three unidentified flying objects were sighted over Hillsdale Friday evening between 8 and 10:32 by 22 students and several adults.
They could be seen with the naked eye.
One was southwest of the city, one northwest and one directly south.
William (Bud) VanHorn, Civil Defense Director, reports the objects would change from red to bluish green, would move for a time and then stay in position and twirl.
His son David, is a member of one of William Vincent's seventh grade Davis School classes.
Numbering some 22 students they were out around the Hillsdale area Friday evening on a special UFO watch.
All saw the objects.
The students will watch again tonight.
The watch is also set up for several nights next week.
The call Friday night went out over citizens band radio.
Upon receipt of the report, most channels went blank.
Hillsdale residents were out peering at the sky.
The Hillsdale County Sheriff's Department reports that a woman called in this morning at 6 to report sighting a UFO over the Osseo area.
