ANN ARBOR (AP) -- Bright colored unidentified flying objects were reported sighted over southeastern Lower Michigan early today - the second such sighting this week.
Four Washtenaw County sheriff's deputies said they observed four objects between 4 a.m. and 7:05 a.m. The officers, investigating a traffic accident about 12 miles west of Saline, said the objects hovered in the southern sky, moved up and down and glowed in a variety of colors.
Deputies said they watched one of the objects with binoculars and described it as looking like a large top which, while hovering, glowed brightly in colors ranging from green to bright red.
The Milan Police Department said a similar object flew over Milan at an altitude of from 800 to 1000 feet today.
Washtenaw County deputies and officers in Livingstone and Monroe counties and Ohio, reported seeing similar objects Monday.
"I didn't believe our deputies the other night, but I believe them now," said Deputy David Fitzpatrick.
Sgt. Noel Schneider described the top like object as "something out of these science fiction movies or on TV. You'd have to see it to believe it."
