PALESTINE, July 23. (AP) -- Four workers on the Tuesday night shift at the Knox Glass Co. here reported they saw a falling saucer of fire shoot down from the sky into the northern horizon about 11 p.m.
Their descriptions were similar in those given in Houston Tuesday night by persons who reported seeing a ball of fire, which Dr. George B. Somers of the University of Houston said was probably a meteor.
In Palestine today, Knox officials said the company here produced only glass bottles and that no saucers either of the stationary or flying variety had been manufactured.
