LORIENT. April 18, 1969. Several people declared having seen Wednesday morning a little before 9 o'clock, a strange phenomenon in the sky of Lorient. A luminous ball the size of the full moon, suddenly appeared from the sky at a fairly high altitude and was visible for more than a minute, moving rather slowly, it seems, leaving a trail of smoke behind it. The ball soon took a brisk pace before disappearing in the clouds towards the sea.
