SAINT BRIEUC. May 11, 1966. -- Several inhabitants of Saint-Brieuc reported to have seen a "ball of fire" falling down, Monday evening around 9 p.m., near the Valley of Gouet, in the alignment of the airfield of the city. It was thought that it could be a a plane and research was undertaken by the firemen and many volunteers. Research did not give any result: no plane having been reported missing, those were stopped little after midnight. The descriptions given by the witnesses suggest that it could have been a meteorite.
