Victor Hoeflich, (extreme right), Brooklyn manufacturer who claims the so-called flying saucer is a pilot balloon radar target, launches one of the targets which his firm makes for the Signal Corps. Assisting him are Hyman Halsband, left, and Ernest Guizzetti (center)- Mr. Guizzetti represents a Clifton firm which manufactures MI-50s, the helium-filled balloons being attached to the target. At right, the "saucer" is launched from a hillside. Guide lines in right side of picture are being held by Mr. Hoeflich until a vigorous wind catches up the balloon target.
