Watervliet -- A couple of our truth-telling citizens claim that they saw the much talked about airship during the first of the week and it was moving rapidly northwest.
St. Joseph -- John Wallace and Dr. Scott are telling their friends about the airship today. They saw it last night [April 14, 1897] as it swiftly took its flight across the heaven directly over the city and veered away to the northward until it was lost to view over Lake Michigan.
