Galesburg, April 1. —- People residing here claim that an airship passed over this place about 10 o'clock last night [March 31, 1897]. A brilliant white light suddenly appeared, accompanied by a sharp, crackling sound. The phenomena lasted about thirty seconds. Others claim to have heard voices coming from a dark object, which they say, floated through the air.
