SANTA ROSA, Aug. 27 (AP) -- Flying discs, unreported in New Mexico for the past several weeks, returned to the news today. Henry Baros, local mail carrier, reported he sighted one of the elusive discs about 1:15 p.m. Tuesday.
Baros said the object, a bright aluminum in appearance, was traveling at a slow rate of speed from southeast to northwest, and was in sight for about five minutes.
He called K. J. Hiseler, Southern Pacific station agent, W. R. Huffmaster, day operator and Eleanor Rodriguez, Western Union operator, who confirmed his story.
Huffmaster said he had seen a similar object about two weeks ago.
