UFOs in ancient images:

A collection of representations of alleged UFOs before photography existed. Some of these images might disturb the skeptics who argue that UFOs started to be reported only recently and are due to science fiction imagery.

Indian illustration Enlargement

PRAJNAPARAMITA SUNA:

The above image is allegedly from an ancient Indian text called Prajnāpārāmita Suna. In the enlargement, two objects can be seen that look like hats, but why are they floating in mid air? One of them appears to have port holes on it.

1330 tapestry 14th century tapestry

14TH CENTURY:

These two tapestries were created in the 14th century. Both depict the life of Mary. Hat shaped objects can be clearly seen in both tapestries. The one on the left was created in 1330. The one on the right is entitled The Magnificent. Both are located at the French basillica Notre-Dame in Beaune, Burgundy.

I am told these are hats.

15th century

15TH CENTURY:

An image said to be of the 15th century.

Researcher Diego Cuoghi found out it comes from "Le Livre Des Bonnes Moeurs" by Jacques Legrand (1360-1415). He found out it was published in "Plančte" #15 in 1964, with the question "why this hot air balloon in a 15th century drawing supposed to show the Fortune?" The Fortune is actually the lady on the left.

Diego Cuoghi proposes that it id the "Wheel of Destiny" and shows other picture with a "Wheel of Destiny" - but all really look like wheels and none looks like the object in this image. (See www.sprezzatura.it/Arte/Arte_UFO_7.htm)

Anyways, to me this cannot be a hot air balloon as there were none at that time and as it dos not look like a hot air balloon.

Unknown

?:

Detail of an unknown image of unknown object under which a knight or a soldier is kneeling.

A UFO, an alien spacecraft, a meteor, a comet, a shooting star, a religious symbol?

Wood painting

OBJECTS IN THE SKY:

A painting on wood near the castle Conti Dotremond, Belgium. Moses is receiving the tablets and several objects in the sky are seen near by. Date and artist unknown.

This is likely the so-called celestial mana sent by God; but what was it really? meteors?

Illustration

ILLUSTRATED UFO REPORT 1479:

This picture is from a book entitled "Prodigiorum Ac Ostentorum Chronicon" by Conrad Lycosthenes (1518-1561). Basel: Henricpteri, 1557. On page 494 it depicts a UFO sighting which occurred in Arabia in 1479. The book is held at the Australian Museum Research Library.

Medal

1680:

A French medal apparently commemorating a UFO sighting of a wheel like object in 1680. Artist and location unknown. To researcher Diego Cughi, it is a shield with a spike, but not in the sky.
