According to the Project Blue Book record card, the case occurred in Korea June 22, 1952 in the area of Pyungthek, at 10:45 p.m.
The witnesses were two Marine Corps Sergeants. One 4 feet diameter object dove at a runway shooting red flames, hovered briefly over a hill, turned 180 degrees, flashed twice and was gone.
The case was considered as the observation of an "unknown" by Project Blue Book, the official US Air Force investigation of the UFO phenomenon (in Blue Book's classification, an "unknown" is a UFO that remains unidentified after thorough investigation, but not because of lack of data or doubts on the witness.)
