On July 6, 2018, the Italian website 105.net tells that UFOs were seen in the skies of Florence on June 27, 2018.
These would be two large cylindrical and aluminum-colored objects, according to the "National Center for UFOs" ("Centro Ufologico Nazionale"), seen in the morning at 10:15.
Two witnesses who were traveling along the motorway between Pontassieve and Florence said that the object (it is no longer two but one object it seems) has attracted their attention by its cylindrical shape and aluminum color:
"The UFO first moved slowly towards the ground in the Castello area, it seemed to go below the level of the roofs of the houses, then it rose quickly to become a small white dot."

(Nothing has been said to indicate that it could be festive balloons in silver mylar or not.)
Someone reported online to the MUFON about a sighting on June 3, 2018, in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. The witness wrote:
"Classic disc shaped UFO flew directly overhead. First noticed that there were no planes in sky, then bright red light heading towards us. The light dimmed and then re-lit,then rotated around the outside. No noise, passed over us and continued westward."
"Went outside and noticed it was quiet. It was around at about 11:55pm. There were no planes in the sky and the stars were clear so we were looking up. Noticed a red light after 5 minutes. It was easy of us and headed almost directly towards us but with no sound to accompany. It was low in the sky so we assumed a helicopter. Then it drew closer and dimmed its red light. I commented on it dimming the light and it lit back up and flickered then stayed on. At this point I noticed that the light had begun to rotate around the object and that it was disc shaped and not plane shaped. The light went from the front to the right side and then to the back and around to the left side facing us. It paused then began to rotate around again. By this point it was directly above. There was still no noise and the outline was clearly circular. It passed over and continued on it a straight path to the west of us. Checked the clock and it was now 12:08."
