The website of the newspaper Cuarta shows an image and headlines with heavy references to the "X Files", Mulder, Scully, and the recent earthquake.
The image most probably shows a meteor - a plane contrail seeming excluded since it is reported that the aviation authorities told there was no plane there.
The story says that what is called "a photograph of a UFO" was taken by young people about 17:30 on March 29, 2010, in the sky of Chile near Talagante.
UltimaHora.com reports on March 26, 2010, that residents of the city of Luque witnessed a strange luminous object, soon reported as a UFO, late at night - the date is not specified. It seems they said it was a large object with several lights whose colors changed constantly.
Raul Torres explained that his sister informed him of the object's manifestation. He went outside for a look and realized that it was an object moving slowly across the skies, with lights that changed colors.
"It wasn't your ordinary star. It moved and then remained still," added Selva Torres. "Its bright flashes, and its colors, impressed us all. Many of us here were watching."

A new forged UFO video was made on computer by David Nicolas, and was published on Youtube, as allegedly showing a UFO above a Belgian village filmed from a plane in 1954:
David Nicolas had already published a computer-generated UFOs video, allegedly flying over Haiti. The fraudulent nature of the video was detected by the fact that the palmtrees were artificial, identical between them.
Scientists using data from the European Space Agency's Herschel space telescope detected the signature of prebiotic chemical molecules in the Orion nebula, a gas cloud where numerous stars are forming.
The data were taken in the submillimeter waves spectrum, between the radio waves and the infra-red waves.
A whole series of molecules were identified: water, carbon monoxide, formaldehyde, methanol, dimethyl ether, hydrogen cyanide, sulphur oxide and sulphur dioxide.
The website of the RJB radio headlines on March 18, 2010 on "UFOS above the Neuchatel Lake", and this was publicized by UFO websites.
The article talks about a half-dozen of orange flames hovering above the Neuchâtel Lake "in the night of Saturday to Sunday" so probably on March 14, 2010, between 02:20 and 02:45, of a "strange ballet" which lasted nearly half an hour according to a couple of the Neuchâtel lakeside.
The woman is quoted as saying "I stood up to go to the lavatories when I believed to see a plane through the velux. Staring at this sharp light, I understood that it was not about a plane. Especially as it stopped. It is difficult to describe, it resembled a kind of wing, a flame. Then I noticed that a second luminous spot came to join the first from the left, then a third, then a fourth, to form a star in the kind of those children draw. I then ran to awake my husband on the floor below."
Her husband initially "was a bit panicked" and is quoted saying "I said to myself, well, the sky is weirdly luminous tonight. But when I saw that the star started to move away on the right, I imagined a lot of things... It really gave the impression that they disappeared after having seen what they wanted to see! I never saw anything like this. It was one splendid moment."
The article says that there is "no explanation", although the description very strongly suggests chinese lanterns.

The website of the newspaper Le Dauphiné Libéré for March 14, 2010 headlines on "an unidentified phenomenon observed in the matheysian sky".
Philippe, 43-year-old, described as "not a crackppot" and not a UFO buff, saying "I do not believe in little green men" reportedly saw "something unexplainable" on March 6, 2010 at about 23:05 in the sky of Festinière, near Pierre-Châtel. He would not have said anything if he had been alone "but there, we all saw the same thing", namely "in the sky, at a hundred meters from the ground, about fifteen spheres of orange red color which advanced slowly", "Strange red balls which advance slowly and without noise at low altitude", initially taken for "neons, or streetlamps".
Then, gradually, the balls disappeared with while arriving towards the Collet. As if they died out." A video on mobile phone makes it possible to distinguish these orange balls.
The main witness contacted the GEIPAN, a CNES service, filled out a questionnaire, was directed towards the gendarmerie "contrary to my fears, I was not mocked and I was auditioned during a little more than two hours."
Apparently, nobody thought of considering that it could have been Chinese lanterns, although both the video and the story suggest it perfectly.
