The witness reported to MUFO that on Tuesday night, April 21, 2009, "My wife and I were standing outside of the Treasure Island Resort in Las Vegas, NV."
"We planned to view and record the 10pm Siren's of Treasure Island show and had been one of the first people to arrive (sometime around 9:15pm) and we moved to a position directly in front of the hotel."
"There is not much to do during the 45 minutes leading up to the show, so my wife began talking to people next to us and I was observing the low-flying commercial and private aircraft that were departing McCarran Int. Airport and flying almost directly overhead from east-to-west."
"As more people gathered, sometime between 9:45pm and 9:55pm I noticed a group of people a short distance away from us (maybe 30ft to 40ft) looking up toward the sky and pointing. My immediate thought was that they were looking at another aircraft as it flew overhead. I glanced up and could not see anything out of the ordinary...I looked twice, trying to guess the general direction based on where the people were pointing but there was nothing obvious to be seen -- no aircraft or helicopters of any kind."
"While I was distracted by looking for whatever the distraction was in the air, the crew for the Sirens show had raised a sheet or screen on the deck of the Sirens' ship."
"I asked my wife when they put that up and she said they had just raised it. I glanced at my watch and it was almost 10pm."
"I started my video camera and aimed it at the screen aboard the Sirens' ship while I continued to observe the people nearby looking up and pointing into the sky. Obviously, more people were looking up and pointing than before and I would guess at least 20 to 30 people were looking up at the sky instead of being ready to watch the Treasure Island show."
"Once again, I looked up and took a couple of moments to allow my eyes to adjust. There were no aircraft overhead, so I assumed it must be something much more faint and harder to see than a Boeing 737 at 1,200ft."
"That's when I saw the object. It was almost directly overhead, but I would guess that I was looking northward and upwards at an angle of at least 80 degrees."
"What I saw was a triangular formation of lights...an open V-shape, perhaps 3-times wider than it was tall. The leading point of the V was directed several degrees west of due north...assuming the Las Vegas strip runs directly north-and-south, I would say that the formation was pointed and moving on an approximate 340-to-345 degree heading. In the one-to-two seconds that I first observed the object, I concluded that it was not a commercial airliner, nor was it a formation of individual aircraft. It appeared to me to be a single object, flying at an altitude much greater than that of the departing aircraft from nearby McCarran."
"I made a comment out loud to my wife, which you can hear on the video, and I attempted to frame the object with my video camera. I had the camera lens zoomed in for preparation for the show, and was unable to obviously capture the object on video. I tried to use the nearby lighting post (one of the many theater lights used for the Treasure Island show) as a reference guide to frame the object, but either the lens was zoomed in too tightly or the camera's iris could not adjust quickly enough to the change of lighting conditions."
"In the background, I heard emergency sirens from somewhere nearby on the strip but I could not say if they were police, fire, or ambulance sirens since I did not turn to look behind us."
"I directed my attention back to the Treasure Island show as it began moments later, and was unable to continue to observe the object."
"The total event lasted at least 8-12minutes based on the actions of the crowd and the people who saw the object before I did. And I have no idea how long the object was in view after I stopped observing it."
"I am a licensed private pilot, an amateur videographer, and professional graphic artist. I have uploaded the video from the event and a Photoshop image depicting what I saw."
Agencia de Prensa Libre Avileña (APLA) in Cuba reports on April 13, 2009, that a kid's loose kite caused a UFO commotion in the town of Fallas, Municipality of Chambas, in the province of Ciego de Avila.
In all innocence, Ramon Hernandez alias Ramoncito let loose the threads of his beloved kite in the early hours of the evening from the balcony of his humble apartment. The kite was not totally ordinary, it had small lit bulbs running all round it.
Frightened neighbors saw it and exclamamed about the "UFO". The police was called, and several jeeps from the service guard of the Enrique Varona Sugar Mill and police cars from the adjacent municipality of Chambas created a commotion with their sirens as part of their ostentatious show of force, which included phone calls to the Army’s command posts in the province, alleging that the sighting could involve a U.S. spy satellite or airplane.
The kid's parents must now appear before the Provincial Delegation of the Ministry of the Interior along with the boy to elaborate on the details of the events that disturbed the serenity of the citizens of the town of Fallas.
A witness reported on April 12, 2009, about his sitghing the same day:
"I spotted 3 blue lights moving in a rotational pattern over downtown Edmonton at approximately 1 pm on April 12, 2009. I was standing on my West facing balcony located near Grant MacEwan College when I noticed the lights. An unusual, large, circular cloud was directly over the city and lights were positioned in the center, and densest part of the cloud. At first I thought they were air traffic beacons, but there movements were irregular and seemed to be coming from within the cloud. There were 4 large lights which rotated in formation and then came together. Another smaller blue sphere joined them when they came together. Then suddenly, like someone had switched off a light, they disappeared. It all happened so fast I hardly had time to realize what was going on before they were gone. I’m not positive about the number but think there was five lights in total. My view was also partially obstructed by the above balcony."
"Within an hour following the sighting the cloud cover had broken up completely. I also spotted a helicopter circling the area within an hour following the sighting"
Note: it should be checked whether someone performed a laser show or used disco lights there.

The witness reported on April 11, 2009 about a sighting the same day at 10:50 p.m.,in Oslo, Norway:
"We were sitting at my friends balcony in Oslo, looking out over Oslo harbor when my friend saw something in the sky. She thought it was some kind of satellite, and when I looked at the sky I didn't see anything at once, but after some pointing, I (we) saw the following: (note: she saw it approximately four seconds before me. I saw the object(s) for about ten seconds, so the duration seen by the other witness is about 14 seconds)."
"A v-formation with about 7 lights. The lights had the same glow as a faded star, like the stars distant at the star sky. The seventh light was completely still, but the six others where moving still following the "main" lights. The other six lights (three under each "wing" was spinning sort of around, then shrinking to one light and then expanding again.) I would say that the object was at the same size as a 747, or maybe bigger, and the lights were NOT blinking, they were constant all the time."
"I'm not a trained observer, but from experience, I know that this was something out of the ordinary. Given the six lights and their abnormal behavior."
"The object moved south east, not in straight ahead, but like a weak half circle. The object disappeared behind a hill (about 300 meters tall). I would say the object was at the same standard height as an airliner about to land, and flying over the ocean. According to my reference point, I would say it was flying approximately 2-3 kilometers from us."
"Note! This was NOT an airliner. Passenger planes fly over Oslo regularly, and they make a lot of sound! This was completely silent, and way too slow to be a f. ex 747 which not fly in that direction anyway. (not to land, Gardermoen is in the north direction.) if this was to remind me of something, it certainly reminded me of the descriptions of those coming from the Hudson Valley sightings."
"I am very interested in the phenomenon, and when my friend (which knows this) pointed and said "look at that," I thought she was fooling me. She was not. I also know of similar stories about something similar over "Holmlia," which is a place east of Oslo. (I actually heard this today after calling a friend who is very well read about the phenomena."
"Note: No sound what so ever! Will mail drawing of sighting!"

Between January 5 and February 19, "Rudy" and "Russo" released helium balloons with traffic flares tied to them on five separate occasions in what they called a "social experiment to debunk the pseudoscience of UFOs" in Morris County, New Jersey, USA. They then put up an article on April 1st saying it was a hoax. Because of a possible fire hazzard they were fined $250 + 50 hours community service.
