The local newspaper the Gazzetta Del Sud of Messina, Sicily, Italy, reported that at 04:45 AM, on February 1, 2007, a man driving near the sea in Cicerata, a small place in Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto, saw a round object moving fast on a surface of the sea at a distance of about one kilometer from the beach. It was very strange. It was sailing a bit under the sea with only a small part over the waves. The object was full of red lights but also white ones. It just didn't look like a submarine or something from the Navy because it had such a different shape and it was too big. While the man was watching, other people came and stopped as they saw the same weird thing. The object was visible for another five minutes then it disappeared underwater moving toward Isola Volcano on Eolie Islands.
