We Maréchal Des Logis Chef [G1], hear:
[T1], 38 years old, born the [-] 1935, unmarried. Construction site foreman, resident in [V2], of French nationality, who states to us at 18 hours 25:
This day March 2, 1974, at 3 hours, coming back from [V3] and finding myself at the crossroads formed by the National Road [-] and the National Road [-], territory of the community of [V4], I noticed a blue light in the sky approaching quickly in my direction coming from the South-east.
All of a sudden, the object stabilized above my vehicle at a height of 4 meters approximately and followed me on the Main road.
I was very afraid and I accelerated but the machine remained above my car up to one kilometer approximately before [V6] where it veered towards [V8] while taking height again at a vertiginous speed.
I did not see the machine taking off or landing.
It came from the direction of the South-east (private airfield [V7]) and disappeared in the direction of the North-West.
The apparatus had the shape of a cigar measuring approximately three meters length by two meters of width. It was surmounted by a cupola. I did not notice an antenna nor any other protrusion. It emitted a blue light comparable to that emitted by a weling machine but very intense. I saw as in full day.
The apparatus was of gray steel color, did not emit any noise, nor smoke.
I was very afraid but did not feel any nervous disorder or other disorder thereafter.
When the apparatus was above my vehicle, the car's radio stopped, it restarted when the apparatus had disappeared.
My car absolutely did not move during the presence of the apparatus, there has been no air volume displacement nor heat effect.
I was alone on board my car, I did not see any being on board this flying machine.
I was the only motorist on the National Road [-].
March 2, 1974, at 18 hours 55.
Having read the above statment, I persist and I have nothing to change, to add or to remove from it.
(Has signed on the statments notebook)
