Official, France:

In France, there is still no equivalent of the Freedom of Information Acts (FOIA) as it is now applied to some official UFO information in the majority of other countries, USA, United Kingdom, Spain, Italy etc. In France, and only in theory, information is supposedly possibly accessible 60 years after its date. (Thus 2014 for UFO cases of 1954 etc). It is only if you are "Somebody of Importance" such as TV journalist Jean-Claude Bourret in the 70's, or if you have "Friends Inside", or if you beg enough, that you can maybe pick up some documents.

August 11, 1955, the colonel commanding the national gendarmerie of the 2nd military region with Mr. the Minister for National Defense. Direction of the gendarmerie and military justice - subdirectorate of the gendarmerie, technical office in Paris.

Dispatch note: Report n° 102.4, dated August 8, 1955, by the lieutenant commanding the gendarmerie section of Vouziers in the Ardennes.

August 5, 1955 at 02:30 p.m., three people residing in Buzancy in the Ardennes saw five flying saucers above the German cemetery located at the edge of the departmental way N.12 at 600 meters at the south-east of this locality. Misters Célestin [-] and Louis [-], accompanied by the young person Jean-Luc [-], eleven years old, were occupied with the maintenance of the cemetery of which they have the duty, when they had their attention drawn by unknown machines. According to their statements, these five machines, of brown color, shining at times under the action of the solar rays, came from the direction of the north and evolved at an altitude of 500 meters approximately. They went down and went up vertically at high speed. No noise of engine nor whistling sound was audible. One of them, of circular form, of a diameter of 1,50 meter approximately, very transparent and appearing covered with netting, is said to have passed above the witnesses at about thirty meters of height. Two of these apparatuses seemed to land behind a thicket in a field, within 300 meters of the cemetery. The three others left in the direction the south at a vertiginous pace. The research carried out in all the area by the witnesses and the commander of the brigade of Buzancy did not give any result. Misters [-] and [-] are honourably known and have the reputation of serious people. No reaction was noted among the population.

Lille, on August 10, 1955. Colonel [-] commander of the second region of the gendarmerie.
