In July 2018, a witness reported by the web, anonymously, to the MUFO UFO group, that he and his fiancee saw an unidentified humanoid.
The man said he and his fiancee were driving near Queensbury, New York, USA, "last Sunday" - likely Sunday, July 22, 2018 - at about 12:15 a.m. when they spotted a strange figure.
They pulled off exit 20 southbound, and their car came to a stop. The man said that as he proceeded to put on the left blinker and look both ways of the road, he noticed a "tall slender figure" dressed in black with "stick-like features".
He said the entity was about 50 feet away and standing in the middle of the road. He believes it was approximately 10 feet tall.
He asked his fiancee what she saw and it was exactly what he saw.
Then, we learn that The two had already made the left turn when they decided to turn around to check on the unusual sighting. They drove back and there was nothing there. However, he said that they felt as though they were being observed.

Subject: Queensbury NY close encounter Just saw an account of an alleged "CE" near Queensbury NY on yr website. I live near Queensbury and a familiar with the area. Exit 20 is actually not Queensbury so much as Lake George, but the report does say NEAR Queensbury, which is accurate enough, especially as the borders can be confusing between the Town of Queensbury, the Town of Lake George, and the Village of Lake George. Be that as it may, when you get off of exit twenty (of I-87 aka "The Northway") you do have to come to a stop before proceeding along Rte. 9, so his car came to a stop due to traffic regulations. There is a service station nearby, although I am unsure as to how late they are open. Still, this time of year (tourist season), they are doubtless open pretty late. If I get a chance I will ask the employees there if they know anything about it. I'm intrigued, but I also know that we have some practical jokers living around here... There is no publication date, and the alleged sighting date is referred to as "last Sunday". I found the publication date in the page code: Sunday, July 29, 2018. So, "last Sunday" should be July 22, 2018. However, the obviously shoddy reporting of the testimony by the cryptozoology website (no exact date, no source reference other than "MFUFON", etc.) does not make this sighting date very certain.
"MUFON" is the largest UFO association, the Mutual UFO Network. Among other activities, they collect testimonies sent by the web, and publish the last 20. The older testimonies are then accessible only to members. By the time at looked at these last 20 reports, on August 1, 2018, this report was no longer in the last 20.
The report has apparent inconsistencies or loopholes in it. These inconsistencies maybe be caused by the second hand source - not reporting everything maybe - and may be solved in the first hand source:
- We do not know why their car "went to a stop". Did they stop because of the himanoid in the middle of the road, was this an explained stop, and unexplained stop?
- The humanoid stood in the middle of the road. But was it in front or behind the car?
- Why did the man drive on and then make a U-turn to check, when he was actually 50 feet away from the humanoid, and could have checked better without driving on to make a U-turn?
