JULY 19, 1988, JOHANNESBURG, GAUTENG, SOUTH AFRICA, TWO WOMEN:

Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

South-African ufologist Cynthia Hind reported at a MUFO congress that near Johannesburg, South Africa, on July 19, 1988, at 05:30 a.m., two women were driving back home after staying up late when they noticed a bright light over the area.

This light then descended at tremendous speed and overtook their vehicle, and both women heard a "click" type sound.

Next thing they recalled was going up a ramp into an object.

Two humanoids were assisting them into the craft. As soon as they entered a white mist-like burning vapor, with a lemon flavor, enveloped them.

Inside the object they met six humanoids, four men and two women. They were described as four-foot eight inches tall, with very suntanned texture skin, oriental eyes, and no hair.

They all wore one-piece tight fitting dark outfits with collars. The object inside was white and sparkles. The witnesses were in a room with portholes and a high metal table in the middle. Both women were eventually examined on the table where various medical tests were performed. Before being released they were given several predictions on upcoming future events including a worldwide cataclysm.

One of the extraterrestrial women who had greeted the witnesses in a high singsong voice told them that they were "from the Pleiades star cluster."

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that near Johannesburg South Africa, on July 19, 1988, at 05:30 a.m., two women were driving back home after staying up late when they noticed a bright light over the area. The light then descended at tremendous speed and overtook their vehicle. At that point both women heard a "click" type sound. Next thing they recalled was going up a ramp into an object. The object inside was white and sparkles. The witnesses were in a room with portholes and a high metal table in the middle. Both women were eventually examined on the table where various medical tests were performed. Before being released they were given several predictions on upcoming future events including a worldwide cataclysm.

Rosales indicates that the source is Cynthia Hind, Mufon Symposium Proceedings 1993.

Points to consider:

In many similar cases of similar geographical origin, it actually appears that nothing else than seeing some light in the sky occurred as all the description of being inside the UFO with aliens came from session of "hypnotic regression" performed by a number of so-called experts whose methodology is to interview the "potential abductee" in the most suggestible state of hypnosis until they come up with descriptions that are actually not real events but souvenir of UFO readings, movies, and dreams. And here, we actually have no element to indicate that the memories were conscious memories.

Coming from "the Pleiades star cluster" is a known cliché used by many hoaxers, contactees, appearing in UFO books and contactees literature, so is the warning of "worldwide cataclysm" that actually do not occur.

With the little information available, that are only a summary of story, the absence of an investigation report, it is thus impossible to make sure that this really happened, or was prompted by the use of hypnosis, or was totally invented by someone.
