Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

It seems that according to the Bécassine catalogue by ufologist Denys Breysse, close to Narbonne, in France, on June 3, 1988, at 10:35 p.m., a man riding a motor cycle between two villages slowed down when he saw, standing on the side of the road, two small humanoids.

They are described as being one-meter tall, with egg-shaped heads slightly larger than the normal, and large almond-shaped eyes. They were dressed in one-piece outfit of blue color, and helmeted.

They appeared to speak between them in an unknown language, and a few moments later, all the four went into bushes and were lost from sight.

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that Near Narbonne, France, on June 3, 1988, at 10:35 p.m., a man riding his moped between two villages slowed down when he saw standing on the side of the road two pairs of short one meter tall humanoids with slightly larger than normal egg shaped heads and large almond shaped eyes. The beings wore blue one-piece outfits with helmets and appeared to be talking among themselves in an unknown language. Moments later all four of them walked into the bushes and disappeared from sight.

Albert Rosales indicates that the source is Denys Breysse, Project Becassine.

Points to consider:

The mention that the witness heard the being speak indicates a certain proximity, but more precision would have been necessary, about this and about the entire report. For lack of a primary source, it is impossible to know what the report was (anonymous letter to some newspaper, in person testimony to investigating ufologists?...

The leaves me for know with an insufficiently documented case of unknown origin, which could just as well be what survived of a true encounter with alien beings than an invented story invented or some sort of misinterpretation.
