A ufology magazine has reported that in Brentwood, California, on January 1988, late in the night, a woman was reading in bed with her boyfriend sleeping next to her when she noticed the figure of a small "man" standing on the right side of the bed, by her boyfriend.
The being was 4 foot tall with a very rough textured grayish tan skin, a large head with a pointed chin and large dark slanted eyes.
The witness attempted to scream but found herself totally paralyzed. She also felt a tingling sensation through her body.
The being reached across the bed over her boyfriend and attempted to touch her. His hand had four fingers with webbing in between them and long fingernails.
In her mind, she heard the words "Do not worry I won't hurt you, I just want to examine you." Just before the being touched her, the boyfriend jostled and tossed in bed, and the little being then jumped back and disappeared in a white flash of light.

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in Brentwood California, on January 1988, late in the night, the witness was reading in bed with her boyfriend sleeping next to her when she noticed the figure of a small "man" standing on the right side of the bed, by her boyfriend. The being was 4-foot tall with grayish tan skin that was very rough textured.
He had a large head with a pointed chin and large dark slanted eyes. The witness attempted to scream but found herself totally paralyzed.
She also felt a tingling sensation through her body. The being reached across the bed over her boyfriend and attempted to touch her. His hand had four fingers with webbing in between them and long fingernails.
In her mind she heard the words "Do not worry I won't hurt you, I just want to examine you." Just before the being touched her, the boyfriend jostled and tossed in bed, this apparently startled the little being that then jumped back and disappeared in a white flash of light.

Points to consider:
Here we have the usual essential marks of an episode of hypnagogic hallucination also known as "sleep paralysis" interpreted as a report of a close encounter of the third kind.
Although hypnagogic experiences are now quite understood in the medical literature on non-pathological sleep disorders and sleep phenomena, although there are knowledgeable ufologists who understand this phenomenon, many other ufologists are still unable to identify such causes when they apply and still believe such experiences are alien encounters or alien abductions.
I provide a few references among dozens about the topic of hypnagogic hallucination and sleep paralysis:
