On February 7, 1979, a news brief from the Agence France Presse from Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, then mentioned in newspapers, reported that in the State of Pernambucco, in Brazil, at some 2,600 kilometers in the North of Rio de Janeiro, farmer Geraldo Cordeiro Nunes saw three characters come out of a cave.

According to the AFP news brief, he described them as men measuring three meters, strange robots equipped with antennas, square arms and legs of greenish color.

Three meters tall men (Brazil)

RIO OF JANEIRO (AFP). -- Men measuring three meters are said to have been seen coming out of a cave, in the State of Pernambouc at some 2,600 kms in the North of Rio de Janeiro. It is a farmer, Géraldo Cordeiro Nunes, who is said to have discovered these strange robots equipped with antennas, of square arms and legs of greenish color.

In their section of Press digests, the magazine summarizes an article indicated to come from the newspaper France Soir for February 7, 1979.

The summarized article indicates that on February 7, 1979, in the State de Pernambouc, in Brazil, at 2600 kilometers in the North of Rio de Janeiro, a farmer, Géraldo Cordeiro Nunes, saw strange robots equipped with "antennas, square arms and legs, of greenish color" and measuring 3 meters, come out of a cave.

The information on the case given in the press is insufficient. The witness, if he does exist, is a single witness, and the case does not seem to have been the subject of checking or investigation, at least, I did not find anything to suggest it was.
