Brief summary of the event and follow-up:

Self-proclaimed seer and medium Ruth Montgomery, who used to claim superior "Guides" told her stuff she put in her numerous books, told in her 1986 book "Aliens Among Us" that on October 14, 1978, at 10:20 p.m., Peggy Otis was traveling by car with her young daughter, when she saw a massive dome-shaped object descend overhead, emitting sparks from underneath.

The story claims she jumped out of the car and saw a figure moving within the object. She allegedly received a telepathic message telling her not to be afraid and "not to forget", and the craft then flew out of sight emitting a humming sound.

"Later", under hypnosis, she allegedly was able to recall that the figure inside the dome had a white head, no ears, large slanted eyes, that it was only four-foot tall and held "something resembling a steering wheel."

Albert Rosales indicates in his catalogue that in Denver, Colorado, on October 14, 1978, at 2220, Peggy Otis was traveling by car with her young daughter when she saw a massive dome shaped object descend overhead emitting sparks from underneath. The adult witness jumped out of the car and now was able to see a figure moving within the object. She received a telepathic message telling her not to be afraid and not to forget. Points to consider:

Ruth Shick Montgomery (1912 - 2001), initially a journalist by profession, self-proclaimed "Christian psychic", sort of high priestess of all things "New Age", wrote numerous books on these topics. She claimed she had discovered her gift of "automatic writing" by which she could write her books, and communicate with various deceased personalities. She wrote about the alleged "psychic powers", alleged "Out-of-body experiences" ("OBE"), alleged communication with deaths, and a book in which she wrotes stories of alien encounters, "Aliens Among Us", including this case, short, anecdotal and apparently unmentioned in more... traditional ufology sources.

She believed humans existed on Earth before the dinosaurs, that the first humans were giants and had produced offspring with large animals, Centaurs, satyrs and nymphs, that remnants of the alleged disappeared continents "Mu" and "Atlantis" would rise from the sea after a "Polar Shift", she claimed he prediction power allowed her to tell world War III would occur in 1985, she used to claim repeatedly that the next US president would be a "Walk-In", i.e. some supernatural alien beings, that between 2010 and 2012, Florida and California would be destroyed, etc. etc, all prediction based on her alleged powers, and all failed predictions.
